Hristo Piyankov
Hristo Piyankov is the analytics director in charge of FinDaS AI. AI agents build your models and reports; he runs them and signs what you act on. He has 15+ years in analytics, 8 of them in banking, and is a statistician by training.
What he does now
FinDaS, since 2018
Hristo has run FinDaS, short for Financial Data Science, since 2018. FinDaS AI is its analytics brand for companies without a data team.
AI agents write the code and draft the work: models, analyses and recurring reports. They run on an agent scaffold of his own, and FinDaS AI works with the same agents and checks as the rest of FinDaS.
What he signs
Every piece of work goes through number and claim checks run by scripts, not AI, and one review round by an agent. What you act on, such as a model going live or a decision memo, then goes to a panel of three reviewer agents and a judge, and Hristo signs it last.
Each check can send the work back to the agents, and a fixed piece goes back through the earlier checks. If two fix rounds fail on the same kind of problem, the work stops and the analytics director decides.
He signs because review agents are not reliable enough to run unattended. The steps are set out under how it works.

2009 to 2013
CRM analytics at a retail bank
He led the rollout of two operational CRM systems, brought the CRM approach into the branch network, and built the bank’s reporting from the ground up.
2013 to 2016
Data scientist at a banking group’s regional CRM centre
He built propensity, churn and next-best-offer models for three countries, and consulted on omni-channel and core-system integration projects.
2016 to 2018
Director of CRM analytics at a consumer-finance company
He grew two analyst teams from 3 to 15, covering reporting, budgeting, bonus schemes and data science. He built the company’s reporting, budgeting, machine learning and forecasting from the ground up, and delivered an omni-channel integration project in nine months.
The AI agents are his third team.
